Jeremy is the guy who keeps the rest of us in line. A much-needed person at a place called "Frenzy".

  • How It Started

Frenzy’s story goes back to the early ‘90s, split between Northern California and right here in Edmond.

Matt was living out west in the Sacramento area, watching his dad, Bob, homebrew before most people even knew what craft beer was. At the same time, Jeremy was at UCO… brewing beer that he’ll be the first to tell you wasn’t very good.

Fast forward a couple decades: Matt and Bob start brewing together for fun, and things get serious fast. Award-winning recipes, garage setups, and eventually a full-blown brand built by Matt and his wife Beth.

Meanwhile, Jeremy’s beer got better (thankfully), and he got heavily involved in the LOCAL movement,  helping change Oklahoma’s outdated alcohol laws and opening the door for breweries like ours to exist.

  • Edmond's First Brewery

You can probably guess where this was headed. Jeremy started planning a brewery. Matt and Beth were doing the same. But none of them quite had what they needed to pull it off,  until they found each other.

Matt had the recipes and a vision. Jeremy had the brewing experience and just enough organization to keep the “Frenzy” part in check.

They made it official on October 1st, 2018, the same day Oklahoma’s new alcohol laws (SQ 792) went into effect.

After a long road (and a lot of beer), Frenzy officially opened its doors in June 2020, right in the historic E.A. Bender building in downtown Edmond.

Since day one, the community’s been at the heart of what we do. We’re proud to be part of the downtown Edmond renaissance,  and even prouder to be its first brewery.
